Fashion Roundup 2010

2010 was an excellent year for stunning dresses, gowns, accessories and overall fashion in general. There were so many eye catching outfits and fashion stories that it is hard to choose which ones to talk about. Luckily for me, The Sun has a list of the 10 best fashion moments in 2010, so I can pick and choose the ones that really work for me. Here we go:

Lady Gaga’s Meat Dress – What to say about this ‘inspired’ number? I don’t know why it’s at the top of this list, but it certainly was the most shocking dress of the year. I guess I can give it that – otherwise it’s just gross.

Christina Hendricks at the Emmys – This getup was just simply stunning – who else but Mad Men’s Hendricks could have made lavender look so lovely? Forget about size zero celebrities, Christina is definitely a gorgeous A lister now!

A Royal Outfit – When announcing the engagement to Prince William of Great Britain, soon-to-be royal Kate Middleton wore a beautiful sapphire colored Issa dress. So what kind of fashion splash can Kate make? The $399 dress sold out in Europe and in the U.S. shortly after the tight fitting dress was shown on TV. That’s some royal order.

Victoria Beckham Owns New Fashion – For all of the griping that I do about celebrity fashion lines in this blog, I laud famous soccer wife and Spice Girl Victoria Beckham for her truly inspired fashion line. From sleek, stylish dresses and outfits to accessories and newly announced western style handbags, Beckham has put her mark on the fashion world, celebrity or not!

Katy Perry Lights Up – Somehow finding a new way to surprise the public, fashion icon Katy Perry wore a light up gown to the Costume Institute Gala in the middle of 2010. It may not be the most beautiful dress, but it certainly lights up the room!
