The high-end car company Bentley is trying its hand in something other than automobiles. When you see the Bentley symbol it is usually on the front of an expensive car, but now you might see it on the side of a luxury handbag. Bentley will be soon releasing its own line of limited edition handbags at Bentley Continental prices.
The Barnato
Bentley will be using its name, which is synonymous with high performance sports cars, to appeal to women. The first two bags in the collection will be “The Continental” and “The Barnato”. The first bag is to honor the car manufacturer’s signature automobile, the Bentley Continental. The second is dedicated to British aviatrix Diana Barnato, who is the daughter of the Bentley Boy’s Woolf Barnato.
They will also carry a sticker price similar to Bentley’s car line, with a starting price close to $6,000. The first launch of the handbag line will be limited to only 160 pieces, with each model coming in four color choices. They should sell out quickly to Bentley enthusiasts who collect anything Bentley related.
