Fashion Resolutions for 2013

ResolutionsWhen it comes to celebrating the New Year, most people go out and have a wild, raucous time on its Eve. While that’s all fine and good, the reality will set in on the first day of 2013 – we have to start following our resolutions. In a lot of cases, you might find yourself trying to lose weight, cut down on watching TV or eating less candy, but fashionistas know that fashion needs some upkeep as well. You’re only as good as the changes you make to the way you approach your wardrobe and your style choices.

Here are some of the resolutions you might want to make regarding your fashion style:

Similiarities – You know what works for you – the colors, shapes, etc. This year, resolve to remove some of the more similar items, replacing them with new colors, new shapes and new types of clothing. By changing up your closet’s similarities, you will make your fashion choices more varied and – hopefully – better in 2013.

Emptying Handbags – Your handbag is not only an extension of your fashion choices for a particular outfit, it’s a wonderful place to keep all of the things you need. Note the word ‘need’ in the last sentence – do not fill your purse with items you do not use regularly. Also, do not go through a month without going through the items in your handbag and removing the things taking up space. That empty tube of lip balm and a food wrapper? Get them out of there.

Trending Too Closely – We are not all made of money like the celebrities and models wearing the newest, trendy clothing. You might want to get in on every new trend out there, but don’t break the bank. Abstain from buying the newest print or designer hat – there will be a new one next week.
