The fashion world stops for nothing, as we all know. However, at the end of each year, it is a good time to step back and look at the biggest trends, styles, colors and – most importantly – the celebrities who always make us stop and stare. 2012 has been no different than other years, in fact, it has been chock full of celebrities blowing us away at runway shows – wearing clothes like no one else before.
Here are some of our favorite fashion-forward celebrities of 2012:
Claire Danes – The former star of cult favorite My So-Called Life and current star of the widely-acclaimed Homeland, Claire Danes has always been a major part of the fashion scene. Whether it was the pre-hipster cool of Life or the beautiful, flowing fashion from Romeo + Juliet, Claire has always found a way to inspire new looks and trends. Homeland’s low-key, grungy and somewhat stealthy look is starting to catch on. Let’s see what Ms. Danes can bring on next.
Beyonce – You may be thinking – has Beyonce been around at all this year? Well, considering the birth of her child Blue Ivy, not so much. However, when we have seen her, she has been showing a new side of her wardrobe – the semi-casual side. From basketball games with hubby Jay-Z to shopping trips, Beyonce has been rocking blue jeans and simple tops, something you probably love wearing out too!
Anyone from Twilight – Although the Twilight movie saga is (thankfully) over, it certainly is not the last time the lead actors – Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner – will change the fashion world with their respective looks. Rob and Kristen’s faux-dirty look and Taylor’s sleek styles may clash, but they have inspired designers to find not only versions of the same, but also an interesting middle ground, which has become a major piece of the current scene.
